July 29 We had another air raid alarm last nite. Seems to be getting quite a thing now. I’ve slept through most of them but I bet I hop when the bombs start going off. We flew this afternoon.
July 28, 1942 We flew again today. They are really giving us the works. We went all over Northeast & Central England. It’s very pretty country. Seems too peaceful for a war to be going on.
