May 25, 1943

They had a holiday today. The boys are getting pretty beat up. That is all of the old gang. Wonder what’s gonna happen to them. Bet they get the finger. I’ve made up my mind that I will never get to go home till the war’s over & there is nothing I can do about it but wait & hope.
